What dish. collects

We collect account identifiers such as your email address, handle, optional display name, and authentication-provider user ID. When you use dish., we collect the recipe links and content you submit, the recipes and collections you create, tags and notes, import status, and settings you choose. Search text is transmitted only to answer the search request and is not saved as a search-history profile by dish.

Our servers and hosting providers also process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as request timestamps, IP address, browser or app type, and error logs. The iOS Share Extension stores a link in a private App Group only after you explicitly choose “Save to dish.”

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, extract recipe details from links, create and search your recipe vault, synchronize your data, provide exports and account deletion, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and send essential account messages. We do not sell personal information, run behavioral advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Service providers

dish. uses service providers to perform specific functions: Supabase for database, authentication, and storage; Vercel for hosting and request delivery; Anthropic for recipe extraction and natural-language search parsing; Supadata and Apify for public video metadata or transcript extraction; Resend for transactional email; and Stripe for optional subscriptions purchased on the web. These providers process only the information needed for their function and operate under their own security and privacy terms. Payment-card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by dish.

Public source links may also be requested from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or the linked website to retrieve public metadata. Your private dish. recipes are not made public unless you choose to share them.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information and saved recipe content while your account is active so the service can function. You can export your recipes as JSON or permanently delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes your profile, recipes, collections, import records, and stored thumbnails from active systems. Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or security logs until those systems complete their normal rotation.

Your choices

You control whether a recipe, collection, or profile is public. You may edit or delete saved content, export your recipes, revoke an OAuth provider through that provider, or delete your dish. account in the app. The iOS app does not request camera, photo library, contacts, location, advertising, or tracking permission.

Children and changes

dish. is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this notice when the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
